Many have been surprised with the confidence they feel in my hands when I'm giving a massage so early on in my career. I attribute this to Loree's "hands on" teaching. She would put her hands over top of mine to show the pressure needed. When ever we tried a new technique, she made sure we each felt the application on our own bodies. I think this was key in my training.
My experience was fantastic. Amy did such a great job, and I really appreciate the fact that she gave me the full time even though I was a few minutes late (I got a little lost).

ISA was a great choice for me. Loree bring so much more than just teaching to the school. She bring passion and wants all of her students to succeed. I not only learned the muscles and about the body, but I also learned how to listen to the body and really help out the person I am working out both emotionally and physically. If you are looking for a school that will give you more than just the basics and you really have the passion, definitely check out ISA, I know I made the right choice!
Loree's goal is to take the very clinical massage and make it very relaxing. Another goal for Loree was for us to learn, not for her to teach. Anatomy was taught in depth along with many other facets of massage, id ethics, boundaries, practical, business. One of the phrases she said regularly was "You can affect change and you can do it in a very relaxing way". Loree puts her heart into teaching this because she feels so strongly about the benefits of massage both emotional and physical.
I am very happy that I chose ISA to get my massage training. Loree is an outstanding teacher, not just because of her knowledge and experience in this field, but more importantly because she truly cares about each one of her students. For me, whose first language is not English, it was a challenge at times, but Loree was always very patient and understanding even when I doubted my own abilities.
I feel very fortunate to have gone to lSA. I firmly believe I will be a better therapist because of the training I had there.
