Sweet old school comic shop with a great history. I remember getting comics here with my Grandma back when I was 10-11 years old. The new owners Gavin and Deanna are amazing people. Mom and Pop shop. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection, packed nearly to the ceiling, and they make the effort to aquire rare, unique, and interesting stuff. Definitely worth a stop. The only drawback I can mention is that they do not bag and boards new comics, so some of the selection is a bit beat up from the get go. Other than that, it's an amazing shop everyone should check out.
Hands down the BEST comic store in Grand Rapids! Not only are the staff/owners extremely helpful, they make sure you feel welcome. I have never had a bad experience in Tardy's and I know that can be hard to say about most other comic book stores.
