I love how welcoming and inclusive First Church is and how First is making a positive impact in the downtown community. My kids love the the children's programming and making new friends.
Amazing programs
I love the traditional feel of First United Methodist Church with the gorgeous Tiffany stained glass windows and incredible organ. Local art work is displayed in the hallways. Worship services retain traditional elements but often incorporates local musicians, popular music and current social concerns. I like the diverse congregation. Widows, older couples, families with school age children, singles, and newborn baptisms are all found on a Sunday morning. I also like the church's involvement in serving the inner city community while still providing growth opportunities for its' members.
This is a vital church with habitually good preaching, generous giving (over $400,000 in community and foreign mission), caring people.
This is an amazing place and an incredible community!
