I am familiar with Mr. Whetstone's practice and the 2 reviews from Ms. Young and SRH are complaints for Mr. Whetstone's actions on pursuing people for unpaid debts. After 30 years of practice, Mr. Whetstone is well known for following the law in the strictest manner. Mr. Whetstone's main practice, as you will see when you google him, is DUI defense.
Mr. Whetstone like said before Is a typically lawyer. You can never talk to him personally. Always stuck talking to an unprofessional Secretary. He cashed a check knowing it wasn't there's and refuses to send the money back because they only do payroll once a month.
If you are looking for a lawyer that will communicate with you, joel is NOT the guy. You will talk to his secretary, who knows nothing most of the time, and occasionally knows what joel told her to tell you as he couldnt be bothered to make the phone call himself. You are basically hiring his secretary, who is a glorified phone answerer. You can leave a message for him, day after day, and he will ignore the message and not return the phone call. On top of that, we paid for his services, and when it was over got a bill in the mail for $1000. We had already paid him and had no prior knowledge that he was gonna send us a bill for another $1000. Some people seem to have had a better experience, but if u r looking for a lawyer that will be a good communicator search elsewhere.
