First: The agent at the Lamborne Agency, who wrote our house and auto policies, listed the wrong township, so that cost us $80, before we caught it the second year. He also listed my wife and I as driving to work, when we are both retired. That cost us another $330 over two years before we caught that too. Lesson: Read the policy and don't trust the agent to get it right. They wouldn't refund the money either. Last year, I transferred the insurance off my old car that I sold, to a new car and they never notified Farm Bureau, so I technically drove without a insurance for a month, before I contacted them about my waiting for the bill and the permanent proof of insurance. I never received any apology from Lauri Lamborne and nobody would return my calls. I told Farm Bureau to Transfer me to another agency and they would only do so, after I threatened to go to another insurance company. The Lamborne was terrible to work with. I also found out that others have had problems in dealing with them and left them. We switched to another Farm Bureau agency and they are really great to work with.
