Not the greatest Italian place I've ever been to. The best thing was the soup: Pietro's chowder. For a "from scratch" kitchen, everything was extremely salty. The food came out very fast but it didn't taste fresh, like it was made yesterday. Ordered desserts (tiramisu and lemon cake) and they were decent, but nothing special. We had good service and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean. However, it isn't a place I plan on going back to. I wouldn't recommend it.
The dinner buns were fresh out of the oven, but we had to wait a long time for them. They served an olive oil Italian dip with them...so good! All our meals were delicious other than the green beans not being cooked long enough to eat. The prices were at the high end.
Food is really good, prices are mid range. Atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. Staff are friendly. New tablet menus are a welcome change. Being able to see what drinks pair well with the menu items, and having pictures of each meal makes the experience that much better.
Went to Pietro's for the first time last Friday and was super impressed. My date and I were seated immediately and received our food in a very timely manner. Great food, great service, and just an overall great first experience. I will definitely be going back again!
Small restaurant just off the main area of 28th Street. Their food is reasonably priced and they often do fundraisers for various local causes through their endless soup bar add on. Staff are accommodating and try very hard to ensure your experience is positive. They also have banquet Hall's that can seat up to 200. Different times of the year they have a brunch buffet which is very worth the price.
