Enjoy walking around this area. Parking is tough because the lot is for 'museum only' but attendants usually don't mind if it's not busy and you're friendly. Cool views of the city and good walking paths.
A bit of green space along the river. Would be a lot quieter if the closed us 131 freeway nearby.
Nicely tended riverfront park in underrated small city of Grand Rapids, creating new river corridor, with very good exposure to the river itself which was almost destroyed by pollution until saved by civicism of good folk of Grand Rapids.
I like the curvy pathways and the usable art structures built to sit and interact with alone or with friends. Lots of grassy areas to run, play, sit, and nap, bring the family and dog to play as well. The waterfall just along the way is the frosting on the cake.
