I love chipotle but the service at this location is awful. Like laughably awful. Tonight the kid that made my burrito bowl would plop the ingredients down like a lunch lady while staring at me with this deadpan look on his face, shoulders slumped looking completely inconvenienced to be making my food. I wasn't as mad as I was genuinely amused at how bad his customer service skills are. Dude, you literally signed up for this job. I know making burritos probably isn't the most exhilarating thing but could you atleast smile and be like, you know, nice? They also short you on everything and you have to ask for extra. They don't take any extra care in what they're doing...it's just throwing food together as quickly as possible.
Okay, don’t get me wrong. I looooooooove Chipotle so much! The food tastes great, and it’s my favorite place to eat food from. There is just one problem— servers skimp out on rice (and meat, but I can understand the meat).
I don’t know if I’m being picky. I understand if there’s a ton of customers and not enough rice. But this happens every time I order (and asking for extra rice usually doesn’t help). I like to load up, and the total for my burrito bowl is typically at about $11. For what? So I can come home and cook up a batch of brown rice? It bothers me, and my roommate complains for the same problem.
Best vegetarian options of anything fast food.
edit for specific visit 10/22/17: we always love Chipotle, its our go-to "kind-of-fast-food" place. This visit was HORRIBLE. We waited in line for 35 minutes and would have ended up waiting longer but multiple people in front of us gave up and left. Once we finally got to the front of the line we ordered and had no problems, then we got to the register and I tried to order a side of chips and was flatly and breifly told they didn't have any and then was simply asked if I would like to order a drink. I know this is not the norm here but am at a loss as to why one of the people cleaning up the nearly empty dining room (since the service was so slow even though it was busy the dining room was turning over quickly...) or slowly opening food to refill containers couldn't have helped either move the line along or make a sign about the chips for the front door or even the front of the line so that people could order something that they wouldn't mind eating without chips. Also an apology or acknowledgement of the wait time or missing chips would have been appreciated from any staff member.
What a cool place. Get a burrito bowl and max it out with all the stuff you would get in a burrito chicken, pork, and pulled beef. Whit and brown rice choice as well as nice homemade salsa and guacamole topping. I highly recommend trying it at least once.
Well staffed and fast. A bit larger portion would be nice compared to competitor
