We ate there on Sunday around 12:00 and we were the only ones there (I see why) I got the three piece fish and it was so thick of breading and over cooked and dry and I peeled the breading off one and there was not much fish inside, my wife got the bang bang shrimp the menu said 21 pieces but she said there are a few less because they use larger shrimp, I would hate to see the size they served before because these were just bigger than popcorn shrimp and again to much breading and over cooked, we asked for what beer they had on tap and she didn't know and had us go to the bar and read the list, they didn't have one that was listed that we wanted and they even didn't have ice.
Service was slow and there was only one other table with patrons. No beer list available had to walk up to bar. Not a great experience. Will not be back
All of us were happy with the beverage choices and prices. $5 for your choice of about 10 draft brews. We ordered some mozzarella sticks and were a little disappointed with those. They were little sticks like you'd find in frozen section of a grocery store. They came with a container of sauce to be opened. They tasted OK, but killed any pretension of being upscale.
We won't be back.
They were out of three different beers as well as the pulled chicken when we went. They don't have a lot of beer on their list in this particular location. We had the gyro and it was very good. That said, the service was very good.
The building itself has some character with exposed brick--not typical for a part of town with fast food and strip malls. The inside was tastefully decorated. It's not overpowered with screens everywhere and not so loud so you can have conversations without yelling. A few seats need some repair. The bathroom--men's anyway--was a little on the dated and dirty side.
I searched for 'Pet Friendly Restaurants' in Grand Rapids, MI and this was the first on the Google list. I called to verify and was told that, yes, they do allow dogs on their patio. I even received a return call clarifying that they would be open at 6 pm and would allow our dog on the patio at that time. we arrived at 6:15 pm and was told (1) the patio was closed, and (2) they didn't allow dogs. I explained my call and the answers I received and the return call clarifying our conversation. I was told I needed to talk with the manager who was conveniently not their. I found the restaurant was not very appealing and that the customer service left much to be desired. Don't bother coming to this place.
All in all, it was OK in an area without many similar choices but more choices might be a good thing.
Four of us came after around 9pm on a Friday. We were the only ones there which seemed a little strange, but I like adventure and don't like crowds so that's alright. We sat outdoors and found that area very nice--it's not right next to a parking lot. Our server was prompt, professional and friendly. Although she didn't know anything about the beers on the menu, she offered samples and that's better than a description anyway.
