I'm writing this because normally I avoid the dealer when it comes to repairs, but after the first couple experiences, they are now my go-to for first opinions on just about everything, and my rep goes out of his way enough to deserve the recognition.
ORIGINAL: This dealership is really top notch. It was my first time buying a vehicle and because of that I was nervous and honestly had no idea what I was doing. The two staff I worked with were Jeff Mariner and Eugene Sellaro (the finance manager and salesman respectively). Eugene was low pressure, not pushy but still gave me all of the facts i needed to know about the purchase, my perspective car and my trade in. He was able to walk me though every step and it was a huge relief to have someone that at the end of the day just wanted me to be in a car that I wanted to be in, not just a car that he wanted to sell. On the business side of things Jeff really helped me understand the whole loan process, ran the numbers for me and laid everything out for me really well so that I truly understood what I was singing. He, like Eugene was not pushy and seemed to have my best interest at heart. I would very highly recommend Berger Chevy and they have made a customer for life. Great work guys.
I get my truck serviced here often. I usually go to the same service rep (Jeremy ) and he's extremely consistent, polite, and seems to understand me when I come in asking for random work and upgrades. I think he, and the dealer do a good job on providing necessary information and are fair when explaining the difference between nice-to-have options versus must-have options.
It was horrible. I set an appointment time and there was no sense of urgency to keep to that appointment. When I was finally assisted, I was quoted a price and was told that the price dis not reflect the free tire rotation or discounted oil change but I was charged more than my quoted price. I was asked when I needed it done and I said now that is why I set an appointment. I am a pediatric night nurse that handles special needs children on ventilators and that I needed to sleep before work. The 2 hours I was quoted took almost 5 hours. The shuttle service that had supposedly bee. Set up never happened. I had my roommate come and get me. I never got a call from your staff. When I called to check, my specialist treated me like I was being ridiculous and said the mechanics were on lunch and would get to my car later. I reiterated my situation and he couldn't comprehend what I was saying. My roommate had to drop me back at the dealership where I had to stand in the service department and stay there to get anyone to do anything about getting me my car. I had been awake over 24 hours and had to leave for work in 3 hours. Needless to say, I barely got any sleep before work which is dangerous. I also had to train a new nurse which does not work well when you are not rested. I had to remind my specialist of the discounts I was entitled to that he had already taken the paperwork for and he still did not fully discount the free tire rotation I had received when I bought my car from berger last year. I am beyond upset. I don't care how many people know and I have no intention of ever returning there for service. When I finally got my car, they had changed my radio station and seat settings so I had to readjust everything to be able to drive. This was hands down the worst service experience I have ever had and you should be ashamed.
Hugh Collins at Berger Chevy helped us get exactly what we wanted. We walked in with a vehicle in mind and a budget. Hugh and the team helped us find that exact vehicle and helped keep us at our budget! He was great to work with and so was finance. We had no problem getting what we wanted. The process was easy! Not like other places. We are very happy we went to Berger!
My recent service experience at Berger Chevrolet was exceptional. My family and I have purchased and serviced our vehicles at Berger for 35 years. As a matter of fact our son, daughter and I purchased 3 more vehicles from Berger this year. They are a locally owned family run business with a great sales and service staff and always offer excellent prices!
EDIT: Recently scheduled service for my Chevy volt. Made an appointment online for 3:00 on Thursday. Went in, I originally scheduled it for a drop off but I thought, what's the longest it could take? It was for a battery coolant check and a diagnosis.. first, these two things were going to be billed for two hours of labor, which is way too long for those services. Second, no one ever told me that the car would be staying overnight until a volt tech would be in to look at it. So I waited, until 5:30 when I finally went out and asked what was taking so long. The advisor told me that he wouldn't even have anyone in to look at it until a later date. I was never told any of this, not during my booking of the appointment, and not when initially brought my vehicle and talked to the advisor. So I waited 2 and a half hours for someone to tell me that my scheduled (quick and easy) service couldn't be done until another day.
