My mother inlaw has a serious open surgical area that has to be kept open but it requires bandages to keep from infection but the nurses are rude and act like its a burden to even change her bandage and mock her and dont even change the bandage they just put another bandage on top of the old one do not go there henry ford hospital has already cut ties and wont send over anymore patience since the neglect and lack of care was massive.
On Wednesday, I had my father in the ER for Medical Clearance prior to admission to Pine Rest's Dementia Unit. I had to run my daughter home to bed...we had been there for nearly 6 hours at that point. I spoke with the nurse, let her know I had to leave for about a half hour, and would that be alright? I told her my dad was getting agitated, and perhaps she could turn down the lights for him so he could calm down. She said she would order his meds, and keep and eye on him, so not to worry. When I returned, about 35 minutes later, he was on his way OUT of the ER doors. Fully dressed, he had walked right past the nurse's station, and left. No one noticed or cared. Had I not returned at that moment, God only knows. He was in dark clothing. He could have been hit by a car. He could be in Reeds Lake. He could have been hopelessly lost and confused, or injured somehow. The excuse I got? "We didn't know he needed to be watched". A DEMENTIA PATIENT awaiting transport to Pine Rest, about whom I had a direct conversation with the nurse assigned to him. His lights were never lowered. He didn't get the med ordered until I found him and brought him back in. NO ONE checked on him. I am mortified, and angry, and I have lost my trust in the only hospital we have ever gone to. As consolation I was hurried away from any common area and offered a Sprite. I did overhear that this would be treated as a learning experience. I certainly hope so.
The doctors and nurses in CCU were wonderful and very welcoming!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!
They are so very rude and disrespectful. I was born here with diagnosed medical conditions and still get treated as a drug seeker. They write something called a pain contract for you without your knowledge and label you if youve been there more than a certain number of times even if youve had to be admitted 90% of those times
The pharmacy was not good took forever to get medicine and it is taken for ever to get discharge, my mom and I have been sitting in a room since 11:00 this morning if I have a choice I will not come back here I will go to spectrum instead, I understand they where full. But I will not come back to Bloddget , however the staff was great but not the pharmacy or the discharge.
