vERY pleased with the service I received at this visit. After checking in I waited less than 10 minutes to get called by a representative. He was polite and respectful the entire visit and helped me with everything I asked. It's refreshing to be treated as a human being and not just another disabled person.
Applied for a repalcement SS card in person on Knapp Sept 20th, 2017. Waited 1 hour which seemed fairly normal. People were very helpful and nice. Card to arrive in two weeks.......well Oct 11th, 2017 and still no card in the mail. Called the listed number on a website for them (they have several) which turns out to be the main website for the country and I called at 9 am when they opened and I had a 55 minute wait to talk to someone. Then I got to talk to someone who was rude and very curt, not friendly at all who then looked everything up, told me NOTHING at all and then stated I needed to call the local branch location!!!!! I advised I thought that is who I was calling and he said no. He provided the local number in Grand Rapids who I called after that debacle, only to hear on the phone message that all lines are busy and to call later and then was disconnected!!!! NO way to leave a message or talk to an operator at all. That is the dumbest, non customer - service based system that I have ever seen. Now I have to take time and go down in person again and do this all over again. What a waste of my time.
The staff is really nice and actually knows what they are doing. The wait here isn't too bad either
One lady I spoke with in person and another over the phone was very nice an helpful but on a follow up call where I spoke with a male rep, not only was he rude but he also does not listen to my concern at all. Information he gave me conflicts with the information I got from the other rep but he didn't even try at all to work out the issue with me. He even hung up on me.
was there today, people that work there are rude and not helpful. Its an office that people really need information and help from but they are not patient with people. I understand that its always crowded, i dont know if they are short staffed, but workers dont need to take it on to their customers. Our wait time was close to four hours. They were chatting and taking their sweet time while people were sitting and waiting for them. Supervisors and workers at this place need to evaluate what they are doing. Hours are terrible as well. They open at 10am close at 4pm. That is probably why this location is always crowded.
