The male bartender there was very cold and rude, almost made us feel he is also racist by treating us differently than other guests. Other service people also has no interest to serve. It is sad that the downtown market is a cool place to hang out, but sadly, if you happen to stop in this bar, your heart just turn cold like the bartender's face. Good luck even get him to take your orders. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Social kitchen has one of the better brunches in Grand Rapids. The food is good, and the staff are professional and friendly. Make sure to order fried or brussel sprouts for your table.
SLOW service. But the build your own salads, pizzas, and skillets are so worth it. Just don't go here if you're in a hurry. They could stand to expand the beer selection too.
I come here quite often on my business trips to Grand Rapids. Social is usually where I get my lunch because its priced well and the food is always good. I was slightly sad to see the prices raised a few months back. They always have great happy hour specials, and they care about food allergies, which is very convenient and helpful for my family. I haven't had a bad experience yet! I love the BYO!!
Solid Happy Hour (3-6 PM). Killer pizza, I recommend the "Create-Your-Own".
