The waitress was incredibly good at dealing with the fact that the kitchen had run out of potatoes (yes, this is an Irish pub), and did not have many simple ingredients to accommodate a non-dairy friend of mine who was trying to order some sides. I do not know how she managed to put up with disappointed customers all day, but I commend her. The fish and chips were pretty good, but it seems that kitchen supply management was having a struggle.

My wife and I decided to give Flanagan’s a try after seeing Wicked. It took a little while for a waitress to greet us and get our drink order started but the place was busy so we didn’t think much of it. After receiving our drinks and appetizer things went downhill. We waited quite sometime for our waitress to come back and take our food order. After ordering it took forever to get our food and once the food did come my dinner was cold. I waited for quite sometime for the waitress to come back around our way so I could ask for hot food. I will say I was surprised to see they did take my plate off the bill so I was pleased about that. I’m fairly sure my wife and I will not give our business to Flanagan’s again.

Great food, great atmosphere! Flanagan's has become our favorite pub. The staff are extremely attentive and the place has a really good vibe. I have been to Ireland and Scotland several times and Flanagan's brings back good memories.

Service was good and friendly. I ordered a side salad and chicken wings. However they were out of the chicken wings so I ordered the fried mushrooms. The side salad was good but the fried mushrooms were not flavorful. The bar waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The Irish band was okay. Relaxing sound.

Some of the worst service we have ever received. We stopped here to eat dinner on a Sunday evening. We waited over an hour for our food to come after we ordered it. Our waitress did not come back to check on us at any time. We ended up searching her out twice to ask where our food was. We were informed the kitchen lost our food ticket, which can be understandable IF the waitress keeps us informed. We watched multiple tables around us eat and leave. Tables that arrived well after we were seated. When our food arrived, they forgot to grill the Ruben sandwich and the shepherds pie lacked flavor...very bland. We never did see a manager. Our waitress informed us that we would not be charged for the meals. We left a tip and got out of there. Needless to say, we will not be back. Don’t waste your time here. Plenty of other great restaurants in Grand Rapids to visit.
