The website says they evaluate people who need revisions and if you are interested you have to come to a seminar to get started. On July 8th I went to the seminar and the doctor leading it was 50 minutes late. Then after sitting through the seminar I get a voicemail on Monday morning saying since I didn't have surgery with them in the first place they can not help me and to find a different surgeon. Why would they even advertise revisions on their site if they are unwilling to see anyone needing one? Or I could of been told they couldn't help me when I showed up for the seminar since they knew I had surgery before.
I only gave it's one star, cause the receptionist are nice. But that's about all they have going for them. They do NOT care about you. DO NOT GO THERE.! Hey
I started the process of bariateic surgery the beginning of 2016. I qualified for the immediate surgery, but they weren't sure if I could have it done cause I have had stomach problems. I had an endoscopy, colonoscopy for it. They people said everything looked normal. But GHP "wasn't so sure." I had a gastroenterologist previous to this journey. But after all those procedures they sent me to a specialist of bariatric surgery it's University of Michigan. 2 hours away, twice. The first time I met with the Gastroenterologist. The first thing she said, after I explained why I was there. She said, "I don't know anything about bariatric surgery. I don't know why the sent you to me." That was just the initial appointment. She ordered some labs and tests, did them, went back 2 weeks later or so and everything according to them I was fine. After that, they office didn't call for at least two months, after I jumped through all their hoops and "requirements". I called almost Daily, and so did my mom. We left many messages... still no reply. Eventually we called everyday and finally someone told my mom they won't do the surgery. No explanation, nothing. And they didn't even say it to me, it was my mother. So during the year of jumping through hoops, I decided to lose weight regarless of the outcome. Well they suck and it didn't work out. HORRIBLE PLACE! I mean HORRIBLE.
I'm just starting my food before surgery. The products don't taste as bad as u think they could. Everyone I came in contact with at the office is great. I love this place.
This was one of the best decisions of my life! I am currently down 113.9 pounds. I had the gastric sleeve surgery April 3, 2017. The date alone was my sign from God that I was making the right choice! It is my late mother's birthday. I had no complications and I am so thankful for Dr Kemmertter who prayed for me before the surgery. The staff is outstanding!
So, basically, they wasted a 2 years of mine.
Grand Health Partners are thee WORST medical facility that I've been to. And boy have I had some horrible ones.
SO... I went to spectrum health bariatric and they did the same procedures, and everything checks out. The down said, since I had lost all that weight and was I no longer eligible to get immediate surgery. So, NOW, I have to wait 7 more months to have the surgery....
I'm considering having the gastric sleeve who do you recommend as a surgeon??
