My mom is a current patient there. For about a week and a half. Everytime I have been up their most of the staff has been rude and standing around talking and laughing while majority of the nurse lights are blinking. My mom has told me she waits hours at a time for help. Tonight she called me and asked me to come up there or call them because the lack of care she is getting. This place is a joke and spectrum should be embarrassed with the quality of care at this establishment. I will be reporting this and looking for a different facility for my mom.
When we were first introduced to this place it seemed great. We were assured it has changed since Spectrum took over. Let me assure you this is not the case. My brother had laundry in bags in his closet with urine. Let me add that the urine was dry. I have pictures to prove all of this. We found a 30 mg Oxy on his floor which come to find out wasnt even his. He was on 10mg. I did not find this out until I was able to get him out of there. He was left to sit in his own urine and feces. When they did change him they did not even wipe him down, just left the urine on him. (my brother was paralyzed on one side and his skull was coming out. He was dying of brain cancer so he couldnt do much on his own anymore) They would bring trays of food in but not open the milk or take the lids off. He was unable to really eat needless to say. They have managed to lose 95% of his clothes, his walker, his custom made skull cap, his wahl clippers, his dentures both upper and lower. Those are some of the main items they cannot find and assured me these items were locked up in their closet. I use to get calls in the middle of the night as he was really mad and yelling at people. They left a 91 year old woman in a wheelchair for hours and she wanted to go to bed, there was no one around. Families, dont just go during the day or holidays, go in the evening and at night and see what really goes on in that place. I got hospice involved and we were able to get him moved to Metron of Forest Hills. He never yelled at anyone again. They cared and took care of him. Spectrum long term care on fuller is there for a paycheck and to just get money from the state and yes I have proof of all of this. Im still trying to get reimbursed for his items that they have promised that they will pay for. I dont know anything about the rehab here but the long term is useless.
This place is horrible. My mom had to go there for physical rehab and they never did checks on her. She ended up in a coma and no one realized until her dad came up there. This place deserves a 0 rating.
The worst place I've ever seen. Spectrum health should be ashamed of themselves. They are not a top 15 in the nation. The board of directors need to pull their heads out of the dirt. And focus on the patients.
